Having been on the North American continent now for a brief period, it is interesting to see what you read and hear over here.

The first item of interest was the following from NASA, no doubt broadening their possible future role and function endeavouring to use as much of the information that I’m sure they’ll continue to collect; “New NASA Data Blow Gaping Hole In Global Warming Alarmism”. For the whole piece go to

Later, I find the following which appears in the Wall Street Journal under the title “The Last carbon Taxer” again the full article can be found at:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304203304576447910279095574.html. Quite interesting when you consider the paper in which it appears and the other issues confronting the world at this time.

But to talk to the individuals on the street, the real issue is the US Debt Crisis, which I believe is real not just for them but also for the rest of the world. It will not just be the decision on August 2nd but how they continue to manage things after that. It will need to become a whole new way to live.

This situation if it falters seriously, not just tomorrow but in an ongoing sense, will pale global warming into insignificance.
